As much as I am a small(er) government advocate, I always acknowledge there is a place for some government
Protecting our borders & security for the mass movement of people in our airways is one of a few rightful places
Additionally, regardless of the job and/or the employer, I have & will always advocate that people are to be paid for the work they do, as per the payment schedule
How is it that Americans must suffer the downside of the consequences of inept government & politicians? Yet, when there are opportunities for Americans to benefit from better policies & laws (SAVE ACT, taxes permanently reduced, etc), there seems to be no fast-tracking to do so
Lest anyone forgets, WE, THE TAXPAYERS, are the ultimate bill payers of EVERY government official, program, agency & bureau. Government does not produce or manufacture or trade anything on its own, but is charged to do so for the benefit of the American people
As 15 April once again looms, Americans must be recharged to hold accountable our elected & unelected officials. We must take back our rightful place in the economy & administration of our government & the policies therein. We must demand accountability, transparency & that WE, THE TAXPAYERS, benefit from the services we pay our government to deliver
In short, our airports should not look like third world holding areas when Americans are paying for their flights & seats
Our TSA, Border Patrol, Coast Guardsmen & other affected personnel should not be used as leverage in the game of political whims & power grabbing politicians
WE, THE TAXPAYERS of AMERICA, hold the cards & we need to play our hand as we vote, contact our elected & unelected officials & we must follow through on not putting these players back in office
If it is illegal for a private employer to not pay employees for work they’ve completed, then so it should be with our government agencies, as we’re often reminded, “No one is above the law.”
We, the taxpayers, must make sure this principle is applied equally, regardless of party. We have more power than we think, but we must actually use it in order to be taken seriously
