Patrick Bet-David Calls Out Tucker Carlson Over Israel, Christianity, and Sharia Law Praise

Patrick Bet-David is drawing a line in the sand against what many conservatives see as a dangerous shift inside right-wing media. In a direct response to Tucker Carlson, Bet-David challenged Carlson’s recent comments about Catholics, Israel, Sharia law, and Christianity itself, arguing that the conservative movement is drifting into confusion on core biblical and Western values.

At the center of the controversy was Carlson’s accusation that criticism of the Netanyahu government is being twisted into accusations of anti-Semitism, along with his claim that some Catholics have “issues with Jews.” Bet-David responded by saying Carlson deliberately distorted his comments and reframed a political discussion into a religious attack.

But the larger issue went far beyond one exchange.

Bet-David warned that many influential commentators are beginning to blur the lines between Christianity, Islam, nationalism, and anti-Western rhetoric in ways that leave everyday believers vulnerable to deception. His response was not framed as hatred toward Muslims, Catholics, or Jews. Instead, he argued for clarity, personal responsibility, and preserving America’s Christian foundation.

The most striking moment came when Bet-David contrasted his own life experience with Carlson’s growing praise of Islamic societies and criticism of the West. Bet-David, who fled Iran as a child, reminded viewers that he lived under the realities of radical Islamic rule firsthand. He described growing up in instability and fear while watching women face oppression under authoritarian religious systems.

That experience shaped his warning about attempts to romanticize Sharia law or portray Islamic governance as morally superior to Western civilization.

Carlson had recently suggested that Sharia-governed societies were in some ways “more advanced” than the modern West. Bet-David rejected that outright, arguing that America remains the greatest country in the world precisely because it allows freedom, upward mobility, religious liberty, and opportunity for ordinary citizens.

For many Christian conservatives, that distinction matters.

Bet-David emphasized that his loyalty is not to a denomination or political tribe, but to Jesus Christ and the values that built America. He openly described himself as a non-denominational Christian and gave a personal testimony about accepting Christ in 2004, saying it transformed his life completely.

That testimony became one of the strongest parts of the conversation because it shifted the debate away from internet outrage and back toward faith, redemption, and worldview.

Rather than attacking entire groups of people, Bet-David explained that he has worked alongside Mormons, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, and Seventh-day Adventists throughout his career without harboring hatred toward any of them. He argued that individuals should be judged by character and conduct, not collective stereotypes.

At the same time, he maintained that Christians should not ignore ideological threats that challenge biblical truth or America’s constitutional identity.

That concern is becoming increasingly common among conservative Christians who believe parts of the media ecosystem are normalizing anti-Christian attitudes while simultaneously elevating voices hostile to Western culture. Critics argue that influencers with massive audiences now wield spiritual and political influence that rivals traditional institutions, especially among younger conservatives searching for answers in a rapidly changing culture.

The debate also exposed growing divisions inside the conservative movement over Israel, nationalism, and the role faith should play in public life.

Some conservatives are becoming deeply skeptical of foreign alliances and military intervention overseas. Others warn that legitimate criticism of governments can quickly slide into hostility toward entire religious or ethnic groups. Bet-David attempted to walk that line carefully, separating criticism of governments from hatred of people while defending America’s Judeo-Christian foundations.

His broader message was simple: Christians must stay grounded in biblical truth rather than personality-driven media movements.

That warning may resonate far beyond this single dispute.

As political commentators increasingly blend religion, populism, and culture-war messaging, many believers are asking whether influential media figures are leading audiences toward clarity or confusion. Bet-David’s response suggests the battle inside conservatism is no longer just political. It is spiritual, cultural, and deeply tied to the future identity of the country itself.
